

OUR COVID PLAN
Now more than ever, it is our social duty to look after the health and well-being of all who attend our events. We thank you in advance for following our event guidelines.
British Columbia Basketball Events wants to assure you that we take the health, safety and well-being of our event participants, attendees and workers very seriously. Due to to ongoing concerns related to COVID-19, we continue to monitor National, Provincial and local guidelines as well as ViaSport's recommendations for return to sport.
EVENT FORMAT & SCHEDULING
. Games will be scheduled every 1.5 hours to better manage entry and exit into facility and allow additional time for cleaning under our cleaning protocols.
. Staggered start times may be used for different courts within a facility to better manage entry and exit of the building, as well as appropriate social distancing.
. Teams will be placed into cohorts of 5 teams max. Teams attending our events must be from the Lower Mainland at this time.
. Teams will be restricted to rosters of 11. This includes players, coaches, managers, etc... Parents and spectators will be be permitted to enter the gymnasium.
ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS
. Sanitization stations will be provided in all facilities.
. We will sanitize basketballs between games and at halftime.
. We will sanitize team benches prior to the start of each game.
. We ask that players not participate in the traditional post-game sportsmanship line and refrain from handshakes, fist bumps and high fives.
EVENT STAFF
. All event staff (excluding referees) will wear face masks.
. Cohorts will have the same group of referees.
